Quavo pays tribute to his nephew Takeoff after his death
Quavo broke the silence after Takeoff’s death by sending a cordial message to his “angel” on Saturday.
“It’s so hard for you to say I miss you because you are always with me and we did everything together,” 31-year-old rapper Bad and Boujee began in a long note to his nephew, “Take” on Instagramin which he wondered about their life together.
“Since we were kids, you have been with me, you have been looking at me, their eyes waiting for me to make the next move.”
Quavo shared that his and Takeoff’s first dream was to become pro-wrestling tag partners in WWE, before forming the rap group Migos with Offset.
The rapper from “Walk It Talk It” also mentioned how “dissatisfied” Takeoff was, stating that he “never got mad” and “never raised his voice”.
“He silenced the room because what Take said was legal,” Quavo added, then noted that his deceased relative was by far the “funniest person in the room.”
Rapper “Open It Up” also spoke of Takeoff’s “true passion” for music, his “style and style” and how he always put his family first.
“I have been trying all the time to find out who you really are to me because my nephew is not true,” said Quavo. “… Now I finally get it … you are OUR angel who watches me and watches us all the time in a living form.”
Rapper “Hotel Lobby” said he was “proud” to witness his beloved’s blessings before he died.
He concluded by saying, “You and I knew we would always be together for the rest of our lives, and like now, we will see each other again. I love you with all my heart, ”and asks Takeoff to ask God to unite them one day.
Quavo was present when Takeoff was shot outside the Houston bowling alley on November 1.
The exact reason for the shooting is still unknown, but a video of Quavo’s quarrel in the moments leading up to the recent fatal incident that appeared on the Internet.
Takeoff’s killer was not arrested, and while the police are investigating, the deceased rapper’s family, friends and fans began to mourn his death.
Quavo, Offset, and his wife, Cardi B, attended Takeoff’s wake in Atlanta on Thursday night, and later at his “Celebration of Life” on Friday.
Cardi B shared in an Instagram post Friday that other Migos members feel “empty” after the death of their group mate.
Rapper “Bodak Yellow” pleaded, “I pray that you give Offset, Quavo and your friends and family the strength to go on as they try to deal with this loss.”
