Lindsay Lohan has “so much slack” for her fashion designs

Some thought Lindsay Lohan’s foray into fashion wasn’t all that appealing – but maybe it was just before the corner.
36-year-old actress “Mean Girls” is now making a comeback, starring in the new Netflix movie “Falling for Christmas” and loads of headline-style moments, courtesy of star stylist Law Roach.
But in 2009, Lohan became the laughingstock of the fashion industry when her first collection as Art Director of French luxury brand Emanuel Ungaro made its debut “with a choir of whistles,” as Page Six put it at the time.
Fashion described the appearance on display – including hot pink mini dresses, sequin jackets and heart-shaped nipple paste – as “disappointing” and “tasteless”, calling the whole “a bad fashion show joke.” Women’s clothing every day named the projects “Tacky and outdated” and the series “shame.”
But in a new one interview with Who What WearLohan said that “[misses] she is involved in the fashion scene ”and thinks she may have been over-rated for her work at Ungaro.
“It’s funny … I’ve been reluctant to fringe the nipples of girls on the runway, and now everyone does it, or they don’t have anything on,” she said in the paper, then laughed and called the attempt “unfair.”
Between the rise in Barbiecore’s popularity and the plethora of trendy nipple covers recently spotted on stars like Olivia Wilde and Beyoncé, Lohan is right.
At the time, after serious opposition to the ta-ta fringe, the star of “Confessions of the Teenage Drama Queen” denied that it was her work.
“I wasn’t aware of the nipple fringes until the girls left.” – Lohan said the People in 2009 in her designer debut, before adding “I’m learning.”
Unfortunately, she never had the opportunity to show the second collection; in early 2010, Lohan said WWD partnership was kaput.
Perhaps now that the star of “Parent Trap” has returned to the stage, we will see her band with a different label.
