Harry Styles and Olivia Wilde broke up after ‘Don’t Worry Darling’
Harry Styles does not appear live for or I miss Olivia not more.
The ‘Watermelon Sugar’ creator and his girlfriend, Olivia Wilde, reportedly broke up after nearly two years of dating.
Sources told People on Friday that Styles and Wilde are “taking a break” from their relationship.
“He continues to tour and now goes abroad. He’s focused on his kids and working in Los Angeles,” one source says. “It’s a very amicable decision.”
The source emphasized that the two “are still very close friends”, while another source added: “Right now, they have different priorities that keep them apart.”
Representatives for Styles and Wilde did not immediately respond to Page Six’s requests for comment.
The split came after the couple were plagued by drama ahead of the release of their movie “Don’t Worry Darling” over an alleged feud involving Florence Pugh.
In July, rumors began to circulate that the 26-year-old “Little Women” star had a falling out with director Wild, 38, when she failed in any real way to promote the psychological thriller, both publicly and on social media. Speculation worsened when Pugh agreed to perform only at the Venice Film Festival for the film’s September premiere and forgo other promotional appearances.
It’s unclear what exactly sparked the alleged feud, but fans believe it had something to do with Shia LaBeouf’s departure from the film. (Style took over LaBeouf.)
While Wilde publicly claimed to have fired LaBeouf, the 36-year-old ‘Honey Boy’ star later clarified that he had actually resigned. Further confirming his point, a leaked video showed Wilde pleading with LaBeouf to stay, meaning “Miss Flo” would get a “wake-up call”.
Pugh’s glam crew made it clear they saw the video wearing personalized “Miss Flo” t-shirts as they prepared her for Venice.
All the while Wilde was dealing with Pugh’s drama, the former “OC” star was also dealing with a very nasty custody battle, which was split, with ex-fiancé Jason Sudeikis. Most fans believed Wilde dumped 47-year-old “Ted Lasso” star for 28-year-old Styles, which she denied.
“The complete idea that I left Jason for Harry is completely off the mark,” says the Booksmart director, who shares children Otis, 8, and Daisy, 5, with the Sudeikis, said Vanity Fair in her October 2022 cover story.
“Our relationship ended long before I met Harry,” she explained. “Like any relationship that ends, it doesn’t end overnight.”
Page Six broke the news that Styles and Wilde are dating in January 2021 when they walked out holding hands at the wedding of the former One Direction singer’s manager.
