Prince William was ‘upset and angry’ over online rumors about Kate Middleton: former employee

Prince William was furious about conspiracy theories and rumors circulating online about his wife Kate Middleton even before revealing his cancer diagnosis, according to former staffers.

Royal insider he told People earlier this week, the 41-year-old Prince of Wales was left “upset and angry” over the rumors surrounding the Princess of Wales.

“William is decisive and sometimes stubborn. This, combined with his emphasis on family life, will give him the backbone and strength to get through this,” added royal correspondent Valentine Low.

Rumors about Middleton’s whereabouts began to surface earlier this year, when the mother of three kept a low profile after undergoing abdominal surgery in January.

In early March, Middleton, 42, was photographed for the first time in almost two months and then posted a doctored photo of herself that sparked even more concern.

In the fake photo, she posed with William’s three children: Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6, to celebrate Mother’s Day in the UK.

Several social media users accused the duchess of undergoing more serious surgery than the one the palace said she had undergone – including a Brazilian butt lift.

Others speculated that there were marital problems between the future king and his wife, alleging that he was having an affair with British aristocrat Rose Hanbury. (Hanbury denied the rumors.)

Stars including Stephen Colbert and Blake Lively who fanned the flames were forced to apologize.

However, Middleton denied all allegations when she emotionally shared that she had been diagnosed with cancer.

“As a result, my medical team advised me to undergo preventive chemotherapy, and I am currently in the early stages of this treatment,” she said in a video message a few weeks later.

Since revealing her diagnosis, Middleton has not returned to her royal duties.

Last month, William gave a rare update on how she’s coping with her health issues.

“I’m fine, yes, thank you. Everything’s fine,” he told a concerned fan during his visit to northern England.
