Tom Brady praised exes Gisele Bündchen and Bridget Moynahan on Mother’s Day – a week after they were the victims of several crude jokes during his Netflix roast.
Retired NFL star shared a series of snaps featuring his own mom celebrating the holiday via Instagram on Sunday, but followed up the post with photos of both Moynahan and Bündchen, with whom he shares his children.
“Happy Mother’s Day to all the kind, caring, compassionate and POWERFUL mothers I am lucky to have in my life. None of this would be possible without your love ❤️❤️❤️,” he wrote under the post.
Neither Moynahan (53) nor Bündchen (43) commented on the post, but Bündchen paid tribute to her late mother via social media.
“It’s still hard to say ‘mom’ without getting emotional. There’s not a day that goes by that I don’t miss my Mom. My mother was an amazing person who always helped everyone around her. She was an amazing role model for me and my sisters. She was strong, loving and compassionate,” she added – she wrote in part of the emotional post.
Shortly after Brady, 46, posted the photos, many social media users praised him for his inclusive uploads and keeping it “classy.”
“Tom, you set a great example for your children by showing respect to their Mother even though you didn’t have to!! Great QB, great man!!!!” one person wrote.
“😭 yes, you are a better person than me,” someone commented.
“That’s why I love Tom Brady so much. He honors them all, past and present!” – another user raved.
Brady and Moynahan welcomed son Jack, now 16, in 2007 after the athlete broke up with her and moved to Bündchen.
The former Patriots quarterback ultimately married the supermodel three years later, and since divorcing in October 2022, the two have continued to co-parent Benjamin, 14, and Vivian, 11.
Both of his breakups were the butt of several jokes during last week’s show, “The Greatest Roast of All Time: Tom Brady.” Fellow stars and comedians teased Brady for dumping Moynahan while she was pregnant, his divorce, and Bündchen’s date with her jiu-jitsu instructor.
A source told Page Six that Bündchen was offended by the jokes because he “once again put football before his family.”
Another insider told People magazine that she was “deeply disappointed by the disrespectful portrayal of her family during the Sunday night roast show.”
“As always, [Bündchen’s] “the priority is to support her children who have suffered because of the irresponsible content that has been broadcast,” the source said.
Neither Bündchen nor Moynahan has spoken publicly about the roast, but Moynahan has been posting cryptic quotes on Instagram this past week.
