Dean McDermott praises Tori Spelling for supporting girlfriend Lily Calo

Dean McDermott lamented his estranged wife, Tori Spelling, after the actress showed support for his relationship with new girlfriend, Lily Calo.

Earlier this week, a fan commented on Instagram that it was “remarkable” that Spelling “liked” photo shared by the ‘Due South’ alum. his from Calo, making them Instagram official.

McDermott, 57, then wrote in his ex’s defense: “It’s because she is a highly evolved and compassionate, loving person that is so much more important. [than] I can say this for the trolls commenting on this post.

The former “Chopped Canada” host added that the 51-year-old “Beverly Hills, 90210” alum “has a boyfriend” and that people who get divorced are sometimes “better off living apart (sic) together.”

“This is life. I will pray for happiness for all the haters,” he concluded.

Back in March, McDermott raved about how well Spelling and Calo were getting along.

“You know, I’m blessed that everyone gets along and comes together for the greater good of the kids, I’m just very blessed. “It’s a beautiful thing,” he told Page Six exclusively at the time.

A few days before this interview, Page Six obtained exclusive photos of Spelling – who has five children with her estranged husband – kissing and hugging Calo and McDermott as they celebrated the birthday of one of their children at Dave & Busters in Los Angeles.

The Scary Movie 2 star could even be seen playfully wiping a lipstick stain from Calo’s face as the three entered the room.

McDermott and Spelling, who married in 2006, separated in June 2023 after 17 years of marriage.

Nine months later, the mother of five officially filed for divorce.

The father of six went public with Calo in October 2023, when they were photographed holding hands at a Los Angeles social services office.

In January, the couple seemed to take their romance to the next level by moving in together.

Meanwhile, Spelling has recently been linked to Ryan Cramer.

It’s unclear whether this is the “boyfriend” McDermott referred to in his Instagram comment this week.
