John Stamos Shares ‘Full House’ Cast Photo With Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen in Tribute to Bob Saget

John Stamos honored Bob Saget on his 68th birthday with a rare photo of the entire “Full House” cast, including Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen.

The actor who played Jesse Katsopolis on the hit series, it appeared on Instagram on Friday to send his late colleague and friend love with a black-and-white photo taken by himself, the Olsen twins, Dave Coulier, Candace Cameron Bure, Jodie Sweetin, Scott Weinger and series creator Jeff Franklin.

The group posed behind a giant Dumbo statue, with the 37-year-old Olsen twins smiling on either side of 64-year-old Coulier.

“This was taken as we gathered for his funeral,” Stamos, 60, wrote in a lengthy caption. “Although Bob was not there physically, his spirit was undoubtedly present, wrapping us in warmth and sharing memories that brought both laughter and tears.”

“On that day, each of us felt the weight of his absence and the strength of the bond he cultivated between us,” he continued.

“Bob was the heart of our Full House family. His legacy of kindness and compassion was evident in the faces around me (on Dumbo) in the gentle way we supported each other, reflecting the love he always showed. We celebrated a life that was truly a gift to us all.”

Although the Olsen twins didn’t always meet at cast reunions and declined to participate in the “Full House” reboot after their departure from acting in the mid-2000s, they kept in touch with Saget over the years.

Saget was last seen in public with Ashley in 2017, when she participated in his “Cool Comedy Hot Cuisine” special, which benefited scleroderma research. Both Ashley and Mary-Kate supported their on-screen father on comedy shows in 2009 and 2010.

“Bob was the most loving, compassionate and generous man,” they began in an exclusive statement to Page Six. “We are deeply saddened that he is no longer with us, but we know that he will continue to be by our side to guide us as gracefully as he always has.”

In October 2023, Stamos revealed the sweet words the famous twins shared with their Full House co-stars at Saget’s funeral.

“They gathered us all and said, ‘We love you.’ We loved our childhood. We are grateful to you, thank you for making these eight years so beautiful for us. We have very fond memories,” he recalled on SiriusXM’s “The Howard Stern Show.”

“And everyone just needed to hear it,” he added.

Saget died at the age of 65 from an unspecified head injury.

“Authorities have determined that Bob died of head trauma,” his family confirmed to Page Six in a February 2022 statement. “They concluded that he accidentally hit the back of his head on something, didn’t think it through and went to sleep. “No drugs or alcohol were involved.”

During the police investigation that took place after he was found dead in an Orlando hotel room, showrunner Rosalie Cocci told officers that Saget had said he had not been feeling well before a comedy performance the day before his death.

“I heard him say, ‘I don’t feel well, but I’m ready to go on the show.’ That’s why I do it. It seemed like he was saying something,” she explained in an audio recording obtained by Page Six in March 2022.

She also claimed to be suffering from “long-term Covid-19.”
