Revolt reacts to Cassie Ventura molestation video 5 months after Sean “Diddy” Combs stepped down as CEO

Revolt, the media company co-founded by Sean “Diddy” Combs, released a statement saying it was “disturbed” by the video showing the rapper attacking Cassie.

“We are deeply saddened and concerned by the recent video release of our former CEO, Sean “Diddy” Combs,” the company said he wrote on Instagram Saturday.

“Even after his recent separation from REVOLT, it remains our responsibility to address this matter and recognize that it has a direct impact on our employees, our audience and the culture we represent.”

Revolt, which Combs co-founded with Andy Schuon in 2013, said it “stands in solidarity with all those who have been victims of violence and remain committed to the values ​​and integrity our community expects of us.

“We stand firmly against all forms of domestic violence and will always be a fearless advocate for truth and accountability.”

Revolt concluded its statement by sharing contact information for the National Domestic Violence Hotline.

The company did not mention Cassie – née Casandra Ventura – by name.

Combs temporarily stepped down as Revolt’s president in November 2023 after the “Me & U” singer, whom he dated for 10 years, filed a bombshell lawsuit against him, accusing him of rape and physical abuse. (Cassie and Combs settled the lawsuit the next day.)

Although the 54-year-old Bad Boy Records founder maintained his innocence, CNN on Friday released surveillance footage of one of the physical altercations that Cassie described in her suit.

In the disturbing video, which took place in March 2016, Combs chased 37-year-old Cassie down the hallway of the now-closed InterContinental Hotel in Los Angeles while wearing only a towel around his waist.

When the “Long Way 2 Go” singer tried to get on the elevator and escape, the hip-hop mogul grabbed her by the neck and threw her to the floor.

As she lay motionless on the floor, he kicked her twice and then pulled her by her sweatshirt.

Combs also threw what appeared to be a glass vase at Cassie as she stood in the corner of the hallway.

Two days after the altercation, the model was seen with the “I’ll Be Missing You” emcee on the red carpet at the premiere of “The Perfect Match” on March 7, 2016.

Cassie had visible bruises on her legs and arms as she walked arm-in-arm with Combs during the event.

The Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office will not file charges against Combs due to the statute of limitations.
