Sean “Diddy” Combs’ “disingenuous” apology video did not go down well with many fans and celebrities.

On Sunday, the music mogul (54) published a minute-long video referring to recently discovered surveillance footage showing him attacking his then-girlfriend Cassie Ventura at a hotel.

“My behavior while watching this video is inexcusable,” he said. “I take full responsibility for my actions in this video. I’m disgusted.”

After the 2016 attack, Combs, who was at rock bottom, claimed he “sought professional help and began going to therapy and rehabilitation [and] he had to ask God for His mercy and grace.”

However, in the video, Combs never specifically mentioned the “Me & U” singer, who sued him in November 2023 for harassment, rape and more. (24 hours later they settled for an undisclosed amount).

After the video was published, Aubrey O’Day – one of Diddy’s longtime critics – sharply criticized the music mogul for not apologizing to Ventura.

“Diddy Didn’t Apologize to Cassie” – Former Danity Kane Member wrote on X “He apologized to the world for what he did.”

She then called Combs continuing the post from December 2023 in which he claimed that everyone was accusing him of harassment, he was looking for a “quick payout” and was trying to “murder”. [his] character and destroy [his] reputation.”

O’Day continued: “He says he is ‘disgusted with himself now and he was disgusted with himself then.’ However, he was clearly not disgusted with himself enough to not emphasize this statement by calling her a liar and denying everything…put God and mercy out of it, they are not here and you know it.”

Diddy’s post also caught the attention of rival 50 Cent, who has been very outspoken about the numerous assault allegations against the “I’ll Be Missing You” rapper.

50 Cent questioned Combs’ media strategy, suggesting that no one would believe his apology because of the timing.

“👀It won’t work. Who is advising him now?” “In Da Club” rapper. he wrote on Instagram. “Bad move SMH.”

50 Cent too published the same statement from December 2023 from Combs, which O’Day disputed.

“A lie detector test showed it was a lie…. Maury vibes,” the 48-year-old said of the aging position.

Although the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office will not file charges against Combs due to the statute of limitations, the “Candy Shop” rapper believes the court of public opinion will hold him accountable.

“That’s why they released the tape. They know they can’t accuse him of what we saw, but they know we can’t unsee what we saw,” he added.

While Cassie has not yet directly addressed the disturbing footage — which she detailed in her lawsuit — or Comb’s apology, her lawyers also reacted sharply to the music mogul on Sunday.

“Combs’ latest statement is more about himself than about the many people he has harmed,” Meredith Firetog, a partner at Wigdor LLP, the law firm representing Ventura, said in a statement.

“When Cassie and numerous other women came forward, he denied everything and suggested his victims were looking for a payout.”

She continued: “The fact that he was forced to ‘apologize’ only after his repeated denials turned out to be false shows his pathetic desperation and no one will be swayed by his disingenuous words.”
