The Cannes Film Festival security guard who was publicly scolded by Kelly Rowland got into another heated exchange earlier this week.
Dominican actress Massiel Taveras was caught pushing a female employee after she ran up a red staircase, where she tried to show off her dress and long train with an image of Jesus Christ on it.
It’s unclear what Taveras told the security guard, but: now viral video captured the tense interaction between them.
Taveras, 39, was visibly agitated by the guard, who apparently prevented her from adjusting her train and stopping to pose for photographers.
At the top of the stairs, the actress waved one last time to the crowd before pushing away a security guard who touched her as he tried to usher her into the building.
Kelly Rowland apparently had a similar exchange with the same security guard while walking the red carpet ahead of the “Marcello Mio” premiere.
The 43-year-old former Destiny’s Child member had her finger raised towards the woman’s face, seemingly reprimanding the guard.
The same employee appeared to push Rowland off the red carpet, away from the crowd and photographers.
The lip-reading expert already told Page Six that the “Motivation” singer allegedly told the employee to be careful how he spoke to her.
“Don’t talk to me like that. Don’t talk to me like that,” she repeatedly shouted at the woman. “You’re not my mother. I told you not to talk to me like that.
Rowland later spoke about the incident during an interview with AP News on Thursday.
“This woman knows what happened. I know what happened,” she said during the annual amfAR Cinema Against AIDS gala in Cannes. “I have a boundary and I stick to it.”
Rowland also alluded to race as a factor in the incident.
“There were other women who frequented this carpet who didn’t quite look like me and weren’t scolded or pushed or told to get off,” Rowland continued.
“I had my way and she felt like she had to get her own way. But I stood my ground.”
