Trista Sutter sets the record straight.

The reality star was amid speculation about her mental and physical health posted a lengthy explanation on Instagram Saturday.

“Oh my gosh, people. Can’t a girl have a nervous breakdown/legal separation/midlife crisis/death/divorce in peace here?! 😜🤣,” she began jokingly alongside a photo of her posing with husband Ryan Sutter and their children, Maxwell, 16, and Blakesley, 15, in Mexico.

The 51-year-old “Bachelorette” alum explained that there was an “opportunity for a change of perspective and personal development” and she “chose [herself] and improving, knowing that my job as a stay-at-home mom and my children’s needs at the end of the school year are in the best and most capable hands.”

The rumors began circulating earlier this month when Ryan, 49, published a mysterious message on Instagram, she suggested that Trista was not with her family for the Mother’s Day celebration.

“I know you would like to be here for Mother’s Day,” he wrote. “We would like you to be there too. But sometimes being a mom means letting go of your hands, asserting their independence and encouraging their adventurous spirit.”

“With the support of her family, she took up the challenge. Part of this process is that it is temporarily unavailable to us.
