The 65-year-old actress died on 14 June 2021 just one month before her next birthday after a traumatic brain injury in a hit-and-run collision while crossing. On 4 June 2021, she has been visiting her friends in New York City when Lisa was crossing Amsterdam Avenue near West 64th Street in Manhattan while on her way to her alma mater, The Juilliard School, while she was struck by a motorist in a hit and run collision through the red light. She suffered a traumatic brain injury at the scene and was rush to the nearby hospital for treatment that remains for 10 days. After that, she was not able to recover and we lost her on 14 June 2021.

The scooter owner, Brian Boyd has been arrested now said the New York Police. He was charged for an accusation of leaving the accident scene that leads to the death of the person and failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk.

Manhattan Criminal Court Judge James Clynes was set to bail at $30,000 for Boyd for release and he will return on 11 August.
