Adele Shares Update on Major Life Plans During Las Vegas Residency: ‘I Want a Girl’

Adele shared some of her major life plans after completing her “Weekends With Adele” residency in Las Vegas.
The 36-year-old singer has been open about her desire to have more children, and it looks like she and boyfriend Rich Paul will be making it a priority soon.
“When I’m done with all the responsibilities and all the shows, I want to have a baby,” the “Easy on Me” hitmaker told the audience during Friday’s show Daily mail.
“I want a girl because I already have a boy. I feel like he may be the person I love most in the world, but also probably the person I hate the most in the world. I feel like that’s what’s going to happen. She’ll put me in my place all the time, right?
“With me as her mother and Rich as her father, she’ll be a bossy little queen, right?” – Adele joked.
Elsewhere in the performance, the “Hello” singer sweetly greeted Paul’s daughter, Reonna Simone.
“My stepdaughter is graduating this weekend,” she told the crowd, adding that Reonna graduated from Clark Atlanta University. “So I love you, baby.”
The singer began an affair with the sports agent in 2021, two years after finalizing her divorce from ex-husband Simon Konecki.
The exes have an 11-year-old son, Angelo.
In August, Adele told fans she was “ready to be a mom again soon” – and even prepared a list of baby names.
“I really want to be a mom again soon,” Adele said during her residency performance. “I was actually writing letters. “So every time I see a name I like, I save it in my phone.”
And in 2022, the “I Drink Wine” singer talked about her dreams of expanding her family in an interview with the BBC “Desert Island Discs” podcast.
“I would definitely like to have a few more kids,” Adele told host Lauren Laverne after being asked what she imagines her life will be like in 10 years. “It would be great if we could. If not, I have Angelo. I just want to be happy.”
The 16-time Grammy winner, who seemed to confirm last year that she and Paul had officially tied the knot, said co-parenting with her ex-husband turned out to be easier than she initially expected.
For his part, Paul is co-parenting his three children, having previously said he experienced fatherhood at a “very young” age.
In a 2021 interview with The New Yorker, the sports agent said he “can’t wait to be a different dad – a more patient dad.”
