Alicia Keys, Justin Bieber will perform at the funeral of Migos Takeoff member: report
Alicia Keys and Justin Bieber are just two of the big names set to hit the scene at rapper Takeoff’s upcoming funeral, the report said.
The 15-time Grammy winner will perform at the monument called Takeoff’s “Celebrating life“, On Friday at TMZ reports. The service will be held at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, which seats up to 20,000 guests.
Takeoff, best known as a third of the hip-hop group Migos, was shot to death at a bowling alley last week. He was 28 years old.
Rapper label “Bad and Boujee”, Quality Control Music, said he was killed by a “stray bullet” in an argument that escalated at a private party.
The coroner later revealed that Takeoff, whose real name was Kirshnik Khari Ball, had been shot in the head and torso. The method of death pronounced murder.
The funeral details have so far been kept a secret as Keys and Bieber are the only reported bands to take the scene.
Page Six contacted Keys and Bieber representatives for comment.
While Keys hasn’t worked directly with the late rapper in the past, she made an appearance at the Kanye West Dond 2 concert in February, as did Migos.
Bieber collaborated with Migos on the songs “What You See” and “Looking for You.”
Tickets for memorial service immediately sold out just moments after Tuesday sale. Residents of Georgia received free tickets.
Those fortunate enough to pay your respects during the service will have their phones “confiscated”. TMZ previously notified.
Shortly after news of Takeoff’s death came to light, Keys lunged in a rush on Twitter pay her respects.
“This is too much…. As in every day” – wrote the creator of the hits “Fall”. “RIP Start. Sending light to your family and loved ones. We lose too much too quickly !!”
Bieber has yet to comment on Takeoff’s death.
Appears when Drake postponed his New York performance this week to attend the memorial.
The Canadian rapper was scheduled to play an intimate concert at the Apollo Theater in Harlem on Friday as part of SiriusXM’s Little scenes series.
“The Apollo exhibition has been moved so that we can pay respect to our dear friend this weekend. We’ve added a second date for the fans, ”he wrote on social media.
