Alyssa Scott on “Verge of Tears” Remembering Baby Zen’s Brain Surgery

Alyssa Scott remembers what life looked like for others a year ago.

The model shared an emotional message on her Instagram Story on August 12 as she continues to grieve the loss of her and Nick CannonMy son is 5 months old Zenwho died of a brain tumor last year.

Alyssa recalled how her son’s health had deteriorated, writing, “I can’t believe it’s been a year since what I thought was a quick doctor’s visit turned into a 5-day hospital stay.”

She said they “showed up at 9” and just hours later, Zenu had brain surgery at eight weeks old.

“I’ll never be the same,” Alyssa said. “My body feels it. I have been on the verge of tears for the past few days. I’m trying to keep the forward momentum.”

She shared a photo of her son wrapped in a blue blanket and wrote: “I miss my boy.”
