Sports Career of Dylan Brown

Brown began the 2018 school year with the Jersey Flegg Cup and intermittent first grade practice. He played five games in the NSW Cup towards the end of the year, making his debut for the Wentworthville Magpies. He was then promoted to Parramatta’s first grade team for the 2019 NRL season and re-signed with the organization at the end of the 2020 NRL season as a result.

Brown made his NRL debut on 17 March against the Penrith Panthers, winning 20–12.

The game marked Brisbane’s worst loss since joining the league in 1988 and Parramatta’s biggest win over Brisbane.

During the game, Hutchison was taken by ambulance to the hospital with possible broken ribs and a punctured lung. Because of the incident, Brown was given a three-week suspension.

In Parramatta’s 2021 NRL season, which included the team’s two finals games against Newcastle and Penrith, Brown made a total of 21 appearances and scored four tries.
