For Arnold Schwarzenegger these days, it is not so much “getting into the helicopter” as “chopping”.

The 75-year-old Predator star has teamed up with another Hollywood iconic macho, 76-year-old Sylvester Stallone, for a home pumpkin carving session.

But in real style, the Expendables costumes have their own style and used survival knives to get the job done.

Taking for Instagram On Tuesday evening, the couple shared a picture of the preparations for Halloween on their accounts.

“Me and my great friend Arnold @schwarzenegger are hanging out in his amazing Carving Pumpkin Heads office for Halloween with Survival Knives !!!” Stallone described the starters. “That’s what real ACTION guys do in their spare time!”

So did Schwarzenegger shared the same image with his 22.6 million followers on Instagram, writing “Happy Halloween @officialslystallone”.

By survival knives seems to be a subtle nod to their action-packed heyday, as such weapons played a pivotal role in Stallone’s Rambo and Schwarzenegger’s Commando.

The couple has come a long way since theirs loud competition in the 80’s.

The two machos were superior to each other in every way possible, from those who had “the greatest weapon” to those who had “less body fat when they entered production.”

But they put it all aside shortly after they played together in “Escape Plan” and “The Expendables”, and a real friendship soon developed.
