Attorney at Law –She-Hulk: Episode 5 Recap & Review

The first part of She-Hulk episode 5 is a recap of how she catfished that guy and made it seem like it was her fault. Jen finds out that Titania is suing her for using the name “She-Hulk” after she says goodbye to the “hot doctor cliché.” Today, Titania sells a new line of luxury skin care, beauty, and health products under this name. It’s also everywhere, as his brand sponsors podcasts and is talked about in the news.

Jen arrives to see Titania and tells her to put everything away. And he didn’t, of course. Jennifer thought about taking him to court as she tried to figure out what to do.

Nikki goes to see a man named Alonzo who works as a Drip Broker. He goes to a Boba Cafe, where Nikki is talking to a worker in Chinese. Even though he’s not Chinese, he takes the two into a back room and shows them the fake Avengers stuff.

Jen talks about what’s going on with the She-Hulk brand while Nikki sets up a meeting with Alonzo to help him with his clothes. His boss was quick to point out that this was a problem that needed to be fixed quickly. Jen says she never thought of trademarking the name “She-Hulk” (I mean, she hated it to begin with, didn’t she? (Why not just pick a different name?)

Jen is told that she has to file a countersuit and prove that she used the name “She-Hulk” professionally before the trademark date and that Titania is making money from name recognition. He was also told to clean up and he needed new clothes.

Titania’s lawyer makes some good points in court, like how Jen’s interest in the She-Hulk name only becomes a problem when Titania starts making money off of it. They even have video of her saying, “I won’t answer that because that’s not my name.” Jen’s lawyer showed another video of her saying it was her real name and that she was proud of it.

They rested until Thursday, when the judge told Jen she had to show more times when she chose to use that name. She went on several dates as She-Hulk instead of her real name, Jen Walters, when she used the catfish dating profile. Jennifer is horrified when she realizes she has to bring all the men she’s dated into the courtroom to prove her point.

The hot doctor guy is back, and he says Jen’s not his type, so he’ll never date her. The judge agrees with Jennifer, so she can continue to use the name “She-Hulk,” while Titania must stop doing business under this name. Jen is shown to be the victim, and her lawyer tells her that she can “do better. You deserve better.”

They both go out for drinks and talk about how bad men are. Jen returns to see Alonzo and get his suit at the end. We don’t really see it, but by the end of the episode, we get a quick glimpse of the new mask of daring. Matt Murdoch also appears to be one of Alonzo’s clients.

Episode Analysis

Aside from Jen’s catfishing in the last episode, which showed how morals are twisted, She-Hulk episode 5 was… boring. The legal drama is poorly written, because I don’t think there are enough character witnesses to stop the legal papers that have already been filed and still need to be approved. I’m not a lawyer, so I can’t say for sure, but it seems like the easy way, right?

Again, there’s no comedy, except for a joke about Shrek making fun of how bad the CGI looks, and Jen’s character doesn’t change. Jen has a glimmer of hope at court when she learns that the doctor doesn’t want to date her because she’s not his type… before that is quickly discarded and Jen returns to herself.

This show has been going down for a long time, and it’s safe to say that most people still watch to see what the writers are up to with Daredevil. Given what they did with “Wongers” and “Abomination,” I don’t have much hope that they will do justice to his character.

We hope that next week’s episode will be better, but so far this run is pretty bad.

Episode 4:

Jennifer Walters/She-Hulk (Tatiana Maslany) is hired by Wong (Benedict Wong) in Episode 4 of “She-Hulk: Attorney at Law” to confront Donny Blaze, a former student of Mystic Arts (Rhys Coiro). Walters lost the case, however, because there was no law that said a person could not perform real or fake magic. But Donny’s win turns into a loss because he accidentally opens a portal to a dimension with little demonic monsters. So, Donny had to ask Wong for help to figure out what to do. And because there are so many monsters, Wong has to stop Jennifer from dating Arthur (Michel Curiel) and fight him. After that, Wong immediately returned him to Arthur. However, the next day, Titania (Jameela Jamil) sues Jennifer for calling herself She-Hulk, even though that name is already trademarked.

Nikki And Pug Make An Appointment With Superhero Suit-Maker Alonzo

At the beginning of Episode 5, “Mean, Green, and Straight poured into These Jeans,” Jennifer notes that Titania does a lot of advertising to ensure that the name “She-Hulk” is only associated with her. Cousin Ched (Nicholas Cirillo) even buys a bunch of Titania’s stuff, thinking it has something to do with Jennifer, and brings it to her house to get it signed. You know, so he can sell them and make a little money. But Jennifer tells him that they are not hers but Titania’s. Ched reminds him that he should have trademarked his own superhero name before Titania, as if he hadn’t thought of it a hundred times. At that point, the title card changes from “She-Hulk: Attorney at Law” to “She-Hulk by Titania,” which is the only joke that’s ever funny.

Jennifer and Nikki (Ginger Gonzaga) decide to send a warning to Titania by going to her fan convention and telling her to stop selling fake She-Hulk products under the brand name. Titania clearly says no. So, Jennifer tries to convince herself that she doesn’t want to be called She-Hulk. So, it doesn’t bother her if other people use that name. But the way he stomped on his stapler in anger showed that he was upset about the whole thing in his name. Nikki and Augustus’ Pug’ Pugliese (Josh Segarra) go to a boba cafe, which turns out to be a front for Alonzo’s (Griffin Matthews) superhero costume business, while Jennifer deals with her anger issues. But the man at the front desk didn’t just let them in. Nikki and Pug can’t talk to Alonzo until they buy a bunch of fake Avengers gear. When Nikki says that She-Hulk is an Avenger, Alonzo agrees to a 15-minute meeting.

Jennifer Come Up With An Idea To Win Her Against Titania

Holden Holliway (Steve Coulter) tells Jennifer that she needs to take back the name “She-Hulk” from Titania because that name is associated with the superhero division of GLK and H. Jennifer’s lawyer is Mallory Book, played by Renee Elise Goldsberry. Book’s first question to Walters is the same question everyone else is asking: why didn’t he trademark his own pseudonym? Walters says Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange or Chris Hemsworth’s Thor don’t need to do that. So, it makes sense that he didn’t think about that. Book tells him that those are not their names as superheroes. These are their real names. He said they were going to sue Titania saying that Jennifer had used the name “She-Hulk” professionally before the trademark date. And Titania only makes money on how popular that name is in the market. He also tells Jennifer that she should dress better to show that she respects herself.

Mallory said all these things on the first day of the hearing to show why Jennifer deserves to be called “She-Hulk.” Titania’s lawyer says Jennifer has said publicly that she doesn’t want to be linked to that name. Mallory responds by showing a clipping where Jennifer says it doesn’t matter if she likes her superhero name or not because she has to live with it. The judge asked Mallory to show that Jennifer’s name was always associated with “She-Hulk.” If he fails, he must side with Titania. When Jennifer and Nikki return to their office after a brief meeting with Alonzo about his superhero suits, they find that Todd (Jon Bass), the guy from one of Jennifer’s dates, is one of their biggest clients. . Even though she seems as creepy as ever, this gives Jennifer the idea to bring her dates as witnesses because she comes out to them as She-Hulk.
