Aubrey O’Day accused of Photoshopping herself in photos from Bali
Another O’Day, another Photoshop scandal starring Aubrey O’Day.
A little over a year after former Danita Kane member announced that she was leaving the United States to start a “new life” abroad, she found herself in hot water for flooding her new private feed on Instagram with allegedly altered vacation photos.
The photos in question – which immediately began to occupy a place on the singer’s grid after her move in July 2021 – show the blonde bombshell pose seductively on incredibly perfect beaches, wearing close-fitting clothing with cutouts; in lush rainforests and holding vigorous yoga poses on top of picturesque rocks.
According to O’Day’s geotags, almost all of the photos were taken in Bali, Indonesia. However, social media users don’t buy it.
TikToker @other datanamed Sophie, believes the singer “went on vacation to Bali just by altering herself in pictures”.
“It’s really like any single photo,” Sophie remarked as several of O’Day’s posts appeared on the screen. “I don’t even know if she even went to Indonesia.”
Sophie selected specific photos for analysis, including one of the singers wearing a fancy red dress swinging on bungee ropes tied to palm trees and looking at the waterfall.
“It just steals content from other content creators or places Photoshop itself in random promotional images,” says Sophie.
The 38-year-old graduate of “Making the Band” accompanies her impressive posts with equally thought-provoking captions.
“There is no linear fashion in life, she is confusing, amazing, tough, beautiful and surprising… no guide can give you that,” read the caption part of her photo with a swing in a red dress. “Reading a secret is much more exciting than a textbook. So let’s dive into the pages of our lives when we write them 🤍🙏🏽. “
But Sophie is not alone in her criticism of the singer, as Instagram users have been shouting out her activity on social media for months.
“Your dress can’t blow in the wind like that. This photo is against all laws of nature lol ”,“ She stole this photo straight from the breh catalog 😂😂😂😂 ”and“ We love Photoshop background 🙊 ”are just some of the responses fans have left about the luxury of the star latches.
Joking aside, Sophie points out that the allegedly staged pictures of O’Day may perpetuate a decline in users’ self-esteem.
“In an era where social comparisons are so high and having real effects, why are we doing this?”
The singer has since made her account private. O’Day officials did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
