Austen Kroll blames the use of Ambien, the sleeper for insomnia, for revealing too many secrets during the second season of Winter House.
“I rightly thought I was taking a sleeping pill, but apparently if you’re struggling to sleep on Ambien, you like to travel and wander like ghosts and talk to people,” the 35-year-old reality show star said exclusively to Page Six in a new interview.
“I was trying to be good! I thought, “Austen, go to bed and this Ambien will help you go to sleep.” In fact, it was the other way around. “
Craig Conover, King’s best friend and co-star, added that seeing his buddy take the drug was one of the “most amazing things” that happened on the Bravo show.
“Austen thought it would be a good idea to start taking Ambien before Winter House, and that leads to something absolutely amazing going on,” he teased.
Conover, 33, said fans would see King “telling secrets to people” during the upcoming episode, and Kroll teased that he “wandered into rooms and talked to people.”
Southern Charm stars also noted that Kroll had no memory of the sleepwalking gossip session when he woke up the next day.
“I was like, ‘[I went to bed] at 11:30, right? ” – recalls Kroll. “And Craig said,” Dude, you were in my room at 2 “. I thought, “No! It was the opposite of what I wanted to do.
Kroll and Conover also told us that Season 6 of Summer House, aired during the filming of Winter House, played a major role in the drama that ends.
“We started to notice very quickly that a lot of the people of the Hamptons have serious beef that doesn’t even make sense to us, so I guess everyone just had their own fights,” explained Conover.
Season 2 of “Winter House” premieres on Thursday, October 13 at 9:00 PM EST on Bravo.
