Beyoncé’s 10-year-old daughter, Blue Ivy, is bidding on diamond earrings for over $ 80,000
Spend that cash a little harder.
Blue Ivy Carter joined her parents Beyoncé and Jay-Z for Saturday’s Wearable Art 2022 gala where she tried to drop some weight on the diamonds.
The 10-year-old raised the oar to win the night’s highest price: a set of shiny Lorraine Schwartz earrings worn by her grandmother (and co-founder of the event), Tina Knowles, and previously owned by Queen Bey herself.
As Abbott Elementary creator Quinta Brunson captured, the baubles were supposed to go to another guy for $ 80,000 – until Blue jumped inside.
“She is so rich!” someone (probably Brunson, who posted the material on her Instagram stories) can be heard in the clip.
Blue wasn’t the ultimate bling winner, though; Mielle Organics founder Monique Rodriguez finally took the earrings home, spending $ 105,000.
Blue has proven its prowess in fashion in a light blue suit and black sunglasses at the gala, while her 41-year-old superstar mom looked “too chic for this world” in a star-studded Gucci gown paired with pink elbow-length gloves. Jay-Z’s dad, 52, looked elegant in a black velvet tuxedo.
Bey and Jay are also parents of twins Sir and Rumi, 5 years old.
A fancy picnic was held in Santa Monica to raise money for Tina Knowles and her husband Richard Lawson at the WACO Theater Center. Aunt Blue, Solange Knowles, also helped host a spectacular gala on “Nights in Harlem”.
Other stars present on the scene include Lupita Nyong’o, Tyler Perry, Kelly Rowland, Angela Bassett, Issa Rae, Chloe x Halle and Keke Palmer, the latter of whom appeared at the auction.
