Billie Eilish, Jesse Rutherford slammed into “weird” Halloween costumes
Billie Eilish takes part in the joke.
The 20-year-old “Bad Guy” singer and reportedly boyfriend Jesse Rutherford, 31, disregarded their much-discussed 11-year age difference with their Halloween costumes – by dressing up as a child and an old man respectively.
The Neighborhood frontman wore a bald cap with dotted tufts of gray hair for his appearance, complete with a matching mustache, while Eilish wore a pale pink cap and bib with a teddy bear print as well as doll-inspired makeup.
While some fans have defended the pop star and her apparent lover – “Do you realize they’re kidding you?” one tweeted – most were horrified by the costumes of the couple.
“Billie is old enough to know how weird and scary by the way,” one he wrotewhile another tweeted“Idk, if Jesse Rutherford is aware of it, but wearing a costume that pokes fun at his accusations of grooming is exactly what a groomer would do.”
“I can’t believe Billie Eilish and Jesse Rutherford didn’t dress up for Halloween,” third he was jokingwhile still others described their Halloween look as “very strange” and “so embarrassing”.
The duo sparked rumors of romance earlier this month when it was noticed that they were holding hands during the Halloween Horror Nights in Los Angeles; a few days later, Eilish and Rutherford were seen kissing at dinner.
While their relationship may be new, they’ve known each other for years as a Rutherford fan account shared a photo the couple posing together in December 2017, when she was 16 and he was 26.
Another couple similarly attempted to respond to the haters with their Halloween costumes this year: Josh Duhamel, 49, and new wife Audra Mari, 28, who dressed up as Anna Nicole Smith and J. Howard Marshall when attending at the reception of Casamigosa.
Mari directed her former Playboy model – who was 26 when she married 89-year-old Marshall – in a white wig and black dress while the actor wore a bald cap and bent over a walker.
