Medina spirit (horse) wins the 147th running iconic race make his owner Bob the most successful trainer in Kentucky Derby. The winning margin was half a length. Medina Spirit paid $26.20, $12.00, and $7.60. Baffert was teaming up with jockey John Velazquez.

His international stake wins Dubai world cups (1998, 2001, 2017) and Dubai Golden Shaheen (2015) In total Baffert has trained horses that won fifteen American Classic Races, fifteen Breeders’ Cup races, three Dubai World Cups, and the inaugural Pegasus World Cup.
