Braunwyn Windham-Burke files for divorce from her husband Sean
Braunwyn Windham-Burke filed for divorce on Monday from her husband Sean Burke, according to court documents obtained by Page Six.
A graduate of Real Housewives of Orange County, who came out cheery in 2020, cited “irreconcilable differences” in the documents and asks that they share legal custody.
However, Windham-Burke, who moved to New York City last year, is also requesting physical custody of their seven children, and Sean has visitation rights.
Bravolebrity, 44, also wants Sean to pay spouse alimony and attorney fees, as well as the distribution of their personal assets.
“They both share a love for each other and will continue to put their family first in the split,” a source close to Windham-Burke told Page Six Wednesday.
“Braunwyn knew she had to do this at some point in order to fully discover her life as a gay woman. She is excited about the future. ”
The insider added that “it is obvious that a divorce is going to happen” since it came out in December 2020.
The mother of seven reported the official separation date as October 13, 2022, but initially announced a trial separation from Sean in the summer of 2021 after 26 years of marriage.
Windham-Burke did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
In a new interview with PeopleWindham-Burke admitted that trying to create a “modern family” turned out to be more “difficult” than she had expected.

The same source close to Windham-Burke told us that Spinner, 38, is planning a move to Orange County, California to help her girlfriend and her children divorce.
“Jen didn’t always want Braunwyn to choose between going to New York or staying in Orange County, so she’s looking for places near Newport Beach to make sure Braunwyn is with her family as often as possible,” the source explained. .
“Jen has gotten to know the children and gets along well with them.”
Before Spinner, the reality show star had relationships with ex-girlfriends Victoria Brito and Kris. Windham-Burke sparked rumors of a reconciliation with Kris when it was noted that they were holding hands shortly after she and Brito quit their jobs. Sean moved in as well and started dating “someone new,” he said only to Page Six in April.
