Britney Spears reacts to Jayden’s son’s “hateful” interview
Britney Spears responded to comments from Jayden James 15-year-old son in a recent interview “60 minutes Australia.”
“Jayden, how do you challenge my behavior, as my whole family always does: ‘I hope she gets better, I will pray for her’ … Pray for what?” superstar, 40, said v voice memo shared by Instagram on Monday.
“I’m still working so that I can pay off [my mother Lynne Spears’] legal fees and her house, ”Britney continued, who then suggested that Jayden’s“ hateful ”remarks were rooted in fear that her financial obligations would soon end.
Jayden turns 16 on September 12, and his older brother Sean Preston turns 17 on September 14. Britney shares both teenage boys with ex-husband Kevin Federlin, who also participated in the “60 Minutes Australia” interview.
“Do you want me to get better, so I can keep giving your dad $ 40,000 a month?” – said the singer “Toxic”, confirming her current contribution. “Or maybe the reason you decide to be hateful is because it actually ends in two years and you get nothing?”
Jayden told celebrity interview Daphne Barak that he and Preston – who skipped her wedding in June with her husband Sam Asghari – are no longer spending time with their mom, but hope to see her in the future when she “[gets] better mentally. “
Britney told Jayden on Instagram that she needed “unconditional love and support” from her family without disparaging comments about her mental state.
“It saddens me that none of you valued me as a person,” she said. “You’ve witnessed how my family was to me and that’s all you know. Like I said, I feel you all secretly like to say that there is something wrong with me.
The Grammy winner also described her memories of the conversation she had with Jayden before he and Preston decided to stop seeing their mother.
“I’ll say it. I sat down in that kitchen and looked you straight in the eye, pretty boy, and said, “How come I can’t see you anymore? Or maybe we just see each other more often? I look forward to meeting you every week, ”she said. “You said,” Mom, oh, that’s gonna change. “
Britney explained: “You and your brother always left me in this house two hours early. Preston will be asleep. You would be playing the piano all the time. And if I haven’t showered you with gifts, prepared great food, and played the holy-king mother, it was never good enough anyway.
The pop icon seemed to blame her confused father, Jamie Spears, for her current dynamics with Jayden and Sean. Jamie, 70, implemented a nearly 14-year conservatory that controlled his famous daughter’s life before it ended in November 2021.
“Honestly, my dad has to spend the rest of his life in prison,” said Britney, with a sentiment she shared before.
Jayden defended Jamie in the “60 Minutes Australia” interview, claiming he had Britney’s best interests in mind when establishing a restrictive legal deal.
It should be noted that Jamie was slapped with a three-year warrant for near domestic violence in 2019 following an alleged incident with Preston, preventing him from contacting his grandchildren. Additionally, when Jayden spoke at an Instagram session in March 2020, he called his grandfather “pretty big dk” who “may die.”
Britney ended her Monday message by saying that her family’s inaction to complete her restoration – and a four-month stay in a mental health facility against her will – had held back her belief in a force majeure.
“God would not have allowed this to happen to me if God existed,” she said. “I no longer believe in God because of the way my children and my family treated me. There is nothing to believe anymore. I’m an atheist, all of you.
