Britney Spears responds to Jayden’s son’s comments about her “struggle” as a mother
Britney Spears said she was saddened to hear her son Jayden expressing disappointment at how she “struggled” to love them as a mother.
“[I]It makes me deeply sad to know that [Jayden’s] scream that I did not live up to his expectations for his mother … or maybe someday we will meet face to face and talk openly about it !!!! ” Spears wrote Long Midnight Instagram post.
15-year-old Jayden Federline shared his emotions towards his mother in an interview with director Daphne Barak, who was teased in An article about the daily mail earlier that day.
“I think my mom had a hard time paying attention to us and showing us equal love, and I don’t think she showed Preston enough and I really feel it about it,” he began. “We’ve both gone through so much pressure in the past that it’s now our safe place to process all the emotional trauma that we’ve gone through to heal, to heal our mental state.”
Jayden and his brother Sean Preston Federline, 16, haven’t seen their mother in months, according to their father and ex-husband of Spears, Kevin Federline. Nor were they at Spear’s wedding with Sam Asghari.
Jayden, who spoke for himself and his older brother, spoke of the difficulty of having mom constantly appear in the spotlight, but said he thought their relationship with his mother could be fixed.
“It will just take a lot of time and effort,” he said, according to Barak’s Daily Mail report. “I just want her to improve mentally. When she gets better, I really want to see her again. “
He addressed Spears directly, sharing how much he loves her.
“I love you very much, I hope it’s the best for you,” Jayden said in an appeal to his mother. “Maybe one day we can sit down and talk again.”
Spears reacted with love to her boys, but also rejected some of their statements and their father.
“After all, at 40, with no restrictions on what my family did to me … I tell my son Jayden that I am sending you all the love of the world for the rest of my life !!!!” Spears wrote. “My love for my children has no limits.”
She also appealed directly to Preston in the post, sending him her love as well.
However, Spears was particularly offended by Jayden’s comment regarding her mental health and her father’s defense, Jamie Spears, who placed her at the 13-year-old conservatory.
“Regarding my mental health … my dear child, understand that you must learn to pick up a book and read before you start thinking about my intellect beloved !!!”
Jayden said his grandfather Jamie didn’t deserve the hate he gets.
“I love him with all my heart,” said the 15-year-old. “He was just trying to be a father.”
Spears snapped at her son’s comments in her Instagram post.
“Psss, if you can honestly sit down and tell with your reasonable, brilliant mind what the stick and paw did to me, it was fine and call them not bad people … that’s yes, I failed as a mother and I hope this is a conversation for you and your father sit face to face and try to find out WHAT IS GOOD. “
The pop star also attacked the boy’s father for not working and “smoking pot every day” and called him a hypocrite.
“It’s horrible to see your dad being a hypocrite and saying the media is terrible and he tells them about personal matters !!!” Spears wrote. “If you could stop for a while, remember where you come from !!! I hope you can look in the mirror and remember … you are my baby and you will always be !!!! “
Spears and Federline were married in October 2004 and divorced in July 2007 after having Preston and Jayden. Federline is the primary caretaker of the boys.
