Broadway Star Andy Karl ‘Cheats’ New York with ‘New Woman’ After Ending Marriage to Orfeh ‘Weeks’

Page Six hears a scandalous stage split is coming to Broadway.

As we previously reported, Andy Karl — the Tony-nominated husband of beloved stage star Orfeh — ended their 23-year marriage after falling in love with his co-star in the Australian production of the musical “Groundhog Day.”

And while his Antipodean amorous antics didn’t win him many friends on the Great White Way, we’re told Karl further earned himself in the eyes of the acting community by immediately bringing his Australian lover to the Big Apple .

“He ended his relationship with Orfeh just a few weeks ago,” the scandalized source said, “and he’s already hanging around New York with a new woman.”

Bitter spies said that if he was going to unceremoniously dump his wife for a younger actress, he should at least give himself some decent time before performing his new feat on the American stage.

We reported on Friday that Karl – who played the role of Bill Murray in the musical adaptation for two West End and Broadway runs – spent several months in Melbourne, acting alongside Elise McCann as Andie MacDowell .

But it seems the collaborators were united by more than just an appreciation of the material.

Insiders told us that Orfeh – who rose to fame with the musical adaptation of Legally Blonde – traveled to Australia in February to visit Karl, where he “paraded her around Melbourne like everything was fine” – only to tell her including saying shortly before he was due to return to the US that he planned to leave her for McCann.

Karl released a statement announcing their split two weeks ago, saying: “After 23 years of a wonderful, loving relationship, both on and off stage, we have decided to separate.”

He added: “Keeping a strong marriage can be a challenge, especially when you work on opposite sides of the world.”
