Cal Mitchell recalls the last conversation he had with Coolio before he died

Cal Mitchell remembers the good times he had Coolio.

After news of the Gangsta’s Paradise rapper’s death broke, the comedian shared fond memories with Coolio from the Nickelodeon set. Kenan and Cal and All that in the 90s.

“Rest in heaven @coolio!” On September 29, Cal captioned Coolio’s Instagram carousel of throwback videos. “We recently talked a few months ago, laughing and having such a good time. So many great memories with you bro! That time I met you for the first time on All that cracking in a A good burger Sketch, then you bring me on stage after your performance to freestyle. Then later the creation of the legendary Kenan and Cal theme song for @kenanthompson and me.”

Cal also talked about his last conversation with Coolio, in which he said the rapper encouraged him to stay positive.

“Thank you for sharing your light and talent with all of us and thank you for inspiring so many with your lyrics,” he continued. “Rest in the arms of our Heavenly Father and pray that God comforts your family during this time. With much love, brother!!!”
