California bikers arrested in connection with New Year’s Eve gang attack on ‘90210’ actor Ian Ziering
Two suspected members of the notorious minibike “gang” that allegedly attacked actor Ian Ziering were arrested Tuesday in connection with a viral New Year’s Eve road rage brawl.
Jacob Esteban Hernandez, 20, and Angie Tereza Guizar, 40, were arrested and booked for vandalism and assault with a deadly weapon, respectively. – Los Angeles police said.
The 60-year-old “Beverly Hills, 90210” alum clashed on Hollywood Blv with a group of bikers known as the 605 minibike gang on December 31, 2023.
Shocking video shows Ziering arguing with the motorcyclist moments before other motorcyclists drove up to attack as Ziering’s 12-year-old daughter sat helplessly in the car.
The “Sharknado” star was surrounded by at least four motorcyclists who apparently stopped in front of his vehicle during the attack.
The video shows Ziering throwing the first punch during the fight before running away from the pursuing group.
Los Angeles police said the attackers vandalized Ziering’s car while his daughter was still inside.
He was later seen comforting his crying daughter Mia.
As a result, worth PLN 100,000. Ziering’s GLE SUV had its driver’s side windshield shattered and the passenger side mirror shattered into pieces.
In a lengthy statement released after the attack, Ziering revealed that he and his daughter were unharmed.
“While I was stuck in traffic, one of these drivers aggressively approached my car, which led to a disturbing confrontation. Trying to assess the damage, I got out of the car. Unfortunately, this action escalated into a physical altercation which I staged to protect myself,” he said a day after the ordeal.
“I am relieved to report that neither my daughter nor I suffered any injuries, but this incident has left me deeply concerned about the growing boldness of such groups to disturb public safety and peace.”
He continued: “This situation highlights the wider problem of hooliganism on our streets and the need for effective law enforcement responses to such behavior.
“As a citizen and parent, I find it unacceptable that groups can freely engage in this type of behavior, causing fear and chaos, while the authorities’ response appears to be inadequate.”
“I have always been an advocate of standing against bullying and misconduct, and this incident reinforces my belief in the importance of personal and community safety,” Ziering added in part.
Hernandez and Guizar were arrested after arrest warrants were served at their homes in Rosemead, California, and Los Angeles early Tuesday morning.
Now that arrests have been made, Los Angeles Police are turning the case over to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office, which will decide whether charges will be filed.
Bail for Hernandez was set at $50,000 and for Guizar at $30,000.
