The grumpy Cannes security guard strikes again.
The same employee who made headlines for pushing Kelly Rowland and Massiel Taveras off the red carpet also clashed with K-pop star Yoona.
AND A video of the interaction went viral on the X platform over the weekend, showing the 33-year-old singer climbing a staircase in a pink Monique Lhuillier gown before turning to pose and wave to fans – but was blocked by a guard’s arm.
The employee stopped Yoona and took her away.
Although the interaction didn’t turn violent, the Girls’ Generation member looked visibly frustrated as she followed instructions and walked away.
“You could tell Yoona was pissed, but she handled it with grace and class” – one wrote a social media userwith different praising the actress for keeping her “kind smile.”
Third fan posted a photo of Yoona’s dressnoting, “This [would] it would be a good photo if it weren’t for that damn arm.
When the same thing happened to Rowland last week, the former Destiny’s Child member made headlines scolded the janitor before the premiere of “Marcello Mio.”
The 43-year-old singer broke down in tears as she recalled Thursday’s conversation.
“This woman knows what happened. I know what happened,” Rowland told AP News. “I have a boundary and I stick to it.
“There were other women who frequented this carpet who didn’t quite look like me and weren’t scolded or pushed or told to get off,” she continued.
Dominican actress Massiel Taveras had a similar experience with the same woman and was caught pushing her on camera.
However, the unidentified employee is defended by one of her colleagues via Daily Mail.
“She was an usher working under a lot of pressure to keep people on the carpet moving to prevent crowds from gathering,” an anonymous co-worker said.
“There was no pushing, shoving or scolding. “Safety is a priority, as well as keeping to the strict schedules outlined in their contracts – even celebrities have to follow the rules.”
