He loves to get involved a bit.
Cardi B may have caused a stir when she forgot the name of her gown’s designer on the 2024 Met Gala red carpet last Monday, but it turns out she originally had a twist up her sleeve that would have made even more headlines.
Rapper “WAP”, 31 years old shared TikTok revealing a behind-the-scenes look at her Met Gala preparations last week – and the star considered wearing prosthetics to look like an older woman.
Cardi B lounged in a robe and headscarf, while makeup artist Alexis Stone applied a layer of wrinkled skin to her arms and hands in the clip, and the “Up” singer later stepped out in slippers, revealing an older face and curly, gray hair.
However, her literal interpretation of the “Garden of Time” gala dress code was not meant to be.
In another Clip from TikTokthe Grammy winner said she abandoned the idea of prosthetics because she was “a little afraid of how the photos would turn out.”
“A lot of people aren’t creative like me. We think outside the box,” she added.
Stone seemed to take the situation in stride, sharing photos of his work on Instagram last Wednesday, writing, “Creative directions change, it happens, but a really cool BTS look at what might have been like as Sleeping Beauty.”
Regarding her Met Gala gown, designed by Windowsen, Cardi B stated that although it was “such a beautiful, amazing outfit” and reminded her of a “black rose,” she “immediately took it off” due to its extreme weight.

However, that didn’t stop her from saying that her huge dress could have been bigger.
“It was actually supposed to be bigger,” she said on one of her TikToks as she prepared to walk the red carpet, and added: “I’m mad at the Met Gala because they made me cut my dress off!”
Although she showed her appreciation for the song in her videos, the singer was heavily criticized for failing to remember designer Sensen Lia’s name during an interview with Vogue and instead calling him “Asian and all.”
Cardi B later defended her snub, explaining that she couldn’t remember how to “pronounce the designer’s name because his name is kind of complicated.”
