Carlos Santana is back on the road.
The legendary rocker returned to the stage in Connecticut on Friday, after a fall during a performance in Michigan last month.
A respected 75-year-old guitarist was pictured smiling as he leaves the Four Seasons in downtown Manhattan last week, later appeared on stage in CT, and then performed at the Jones Beach Amphitheater on Long Island, New York.
Santana was forced to postpone the six concerts of his “Miraculous Supernatural” 2022 tour with Earth, Wind & Fire “due to extreme caution. [his] health, ”said a Page Six musician last month.
Michael Vrionis, president of Universal Tone Management, also released statement then.
“I am sorry to announce that Santana has postponed today’s performance at Ruoff Music Center Noblesville, Indiana,” he said.
“And we’re postponing the 9th July concert at the Riverbend Music Center in Cincinnati, Ohio; July 10 at American Family Insurance Amphitheater – Summerfest Grounds in Milwaukee, Wisconsin; July 12 at the Walmart Arkansas Music Pavilion in Rogers, Arkansas; July 15 at the Dos Equis Pavilion in Dallas, Texas; July 16 at Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in Woodlands, Texas. ”
Vrionis added: “Doctors recommended that Mr. Santana rest to fully recover. Carlos is doing well and is looking forward to returning to the stage. I just need a rest.
“Santana deeply regrets the postponement of his upcoming performances; but his health is our number one problem. He can’t wait to see all his fans soon.
The iconic rocker was transported from the stage on a stretcher during his performance on July 5, after he was overcome by heat exhaustion and dehydration.
Before that, he took a break from touring in 2021, when he underwent heart surgery.
