Casey Affleck stops in for ice cream instead of going to Ben’s wedding

The wedding cake could have been a sweeter treat.

Casey Affleck and his girlfriend, Caylee Cowan, were busy with bees over the weekend – they did everything except attend their brother Ben and Jennifer Lopez’s wedding in Georgia.

Manchester by the Sea star and Cowan were seen in the Saturday Ice Cream Snatch at Van Leeuwen in Los Feliz, while ‘Argo’ actor and ‘Waiting for Tonight’ singer tied the knot, according to photos obtained by TMZ.

Earlier that day, 47-year-old Casey also took off at Starbucks, in which he told the paparazzi that he had “other things” to do than travel south. It turns out that these “things” grabbed the cones and took Atticus’s son to soccer training.

In the since deleted comment below Casey’s Instagram tribute to Bennifer 2.0Cowan revealed the true plans of a Boston resident.

“Hey, if you hadn’t been in town on Saturday to take Atty to soccer practice, who would have helped a kid who broke his arm?” She wrote.

“You’re a Good Man. I love you.”

Casey apparently suggested on Monday that his son Indiana was getting ready to go to college.

“You’re ready for it,” Casey wrote in an emotional caption next to a photo of a couple playing in the water when Indiana was a toddler. “You are exceptionally wonderful, full of righteousness, courage and kindness. You will be an improvement to the land of “adults”.

“And if you go out into the world with curious amazement and sincere gratitude, the world will (eventually) meet you with the same,” he continued.
