The rising objections have been officially addressed by Min Hee-jin, CEO of ADOR, the business that has been at the heart of controversy ever since it introduced NewJeans. With their fan song, Cookie, in particular, the CEO was charged with oversexualizing the rookie group.

In an interview with JoongAng Ilbo on August 10, ADOR CEO Min Hee-jin discussed her just debuted girl group, NewJeans, and the storm that had slammed them. She previously served as SM Entertainment’s creative director and board chair. She worked for the company for 16 years before quitting due to exhaustion.

Today, Min Hee-jin serves as both the CEO of HYBE and the CMO of its subsidiary ADOR. Even though her new band made a lot of noise in 2019, this year saw a huge increase in its popularity.

The CEO was charged with oversexualizing and debuting the majority of females under the age of 18, assigning them unsuitable songs, and keeping images of nappy-clad adolescent girls in her studio.
