Charges Against Mary Cosby Dropped For “Providing Refugee Shelter”

Mary Cosby was acquitted of charges of “unlawfully providing refugee shelter” and “contributing to juvenile delinquency”.

“This request is being made because of an evidence doubt,” Salt Lake City’s assistant attorney Madison Barr wrote in court papers obtained by Fox 13 Utah News last week.

After the charges were dropped, the 49-year-old star of “Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” took to social media on Sunday to celebrate the legal victory.

“I don’t live to please people, I live to please God – to people who commit lies! ”Cosby wrote in his caption on Instagram along with screenshots of various tweets about the news.

Meredith Marks, former Cosby star, left three heart-shaped emojis under the post.

A Cosby representative did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.

In June 2021, Cosby pleaded not guilty after being charged on April 8, 2021. However, details of the charges were kept secret.

Nonetheless, a Cosby representative told us in August that “Mary is saddened to have been dragged into another family’s home situation, but is confident that this misunderstanding will soon be cleared up.”

Formerly Cosby’s lawyer Fox claimed 13 that the allegations “sound ominous” but it was a misunderstanding that arose after the mom of her son’s girlfriend, Robert Cosby Jr., called the police while she was spending time at their house.

“Instead of the Salt Lake City Department focusing on real crime, they are turning into a relationship police,” said Robert’s lawyer Clayton Simms in October 2021.

“The root of this case is simply a misunderstanding. We believe that this case has absolutely no value. “

Cosby starred in “The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” for the first two seasons before leaving the show. The church leader decided not to attend the second season reunion due to problems with most of the cast members.
