Charli D’Amelio on the support of “DWTS” from Landon Barker, Kourtney Kardashian

Charli D’Amelio is already leaning on Landon Barker for support in the ballroom.

The TikTok star – who takes part in Season 31 of “Dancing With the Stars” – explained how “excited” her boyfriend cheers her on in the competition, along with his dad Travis Barker and stepmother Kourtney Kardashian.

– Landon knows I do this. He is with me every step of the way on this journey. Travis and Kourtney, I told them about it, and they were very excited too, said D’Amelio, 18, Page Six after the cast disclosure on Good Morning America.

“I think overall it’s going to be really fun and I have a great group around me.”

D’Amelio added that Landon, also 18, is “amazing” at tweaking it.

“I’m glad he will support me,” she said of the singer “Die in California,” with whom she has been dating since June.

“He’s excited for me. He’s always super cute and excited whenever I’m excited about something. “

While Travis, 46, and Kourtney, 43, have never competed on the show themselves, their famous family is no stranger to DWTS.

Kim Kardashian competed with D’Amelio’s professional partner Mark Ballas during season 7 of the dance show, while Rob Kardashian was paired with Cheryl Burke in season 13. D’Amelio said she had yet to ask any of them for advice.

It’s fair to say that D’Amelio – who has been a competitive dancer for over 10 years – will surely have no trouble collecting public votes.

In addition to support from the Barkers and the Kardashian-Jenner family, it has the most Instagram followers of all its competitors – 49.1 million and growing.

In addition, D’Amelio previously worked with Judge Derek Hough on a tribute to “Dirty Dancing” on the March special “Step Into … the Movies”.

The TikTok star will face his mum, Heidi D’Amelio, and stars such as Selma Blair, Teresa Giudice, Vinny Guadagnino and Jordin Sparks as the new season begins Monday, September 19 at 8 p.m. EST (5 p.m. PT ) on Disney +.
