Christian Siriano only postponed the show for Janet Jackson

Time waits for no one. But apparently it ends for Janet Jackson.

Designer Christian Siriano moved his entire New York Fashion Week show earlier this week for the superstar to attend, says Page Six.

“She usually shows during fashion week like Saturday, but this year she had it early on Wednesday to accommodate her schedule. He said, “If Janet comes, I don’t care if there are 10 people there, we’ll make it work,” said the initiate.

Needless to say, she was a sensation at a party held at Elizabeth Taylor’s townhouse.

In fact, there was a swarm of photographers around Jackson, one brazenly thinking of those basking in reflected glory.

Journalist Derek Blasberg and editor Nina Garcia – neither of whom were known to spy away from the lens – had the pleasure of sitting between Jackson. The photographer was overhead saying, “These two are going to eat up all the publicity they get.”

Meanwhile, her appearance at the Sirano show has turned green (like the color of jealousy) this season.

Another source told Page Six that many designers had begged the Jackson team to persuade her to stay in town so she could come to their show as well. And of course he showered her with giveaways in the hopes of persuading her to accept the invitation.

Siriano, who has reportedly never met the singer of “Rhythm Nation” before despite wearing his clothes in the past, hosted her at his dinner after the concert.

Coco Rocha, Leigh Lezark, Maye Musk, Kyle Smith, Candice Huffine and Jasmine Poulton also dined with them and raised glasses for their collection many times.

Dinner ended at 9:30 pm and the party continued at the Paradise Club on Times Square Edition, where the DJ reportedly played Jackson songs non-stop.

A source at the club told us Jackson seemed to be “having a good time.”

Jackson also attended the Harlem Fashion Row event at Lincoln Center on the night before Tuesday’s Siriano show, where LVHM honored her with the “Icon of the Year” award.
