Episode 9 Summary:

In the very first moments of this episode, we saw Kushida make a deal with Ryuen about the upcoming trials. She makes the decision to work with Class C to achieve her goal of expelling Horikita and Ayanakoji from school.

One representative from each group was given the opportunity to hand in the test papers. Horikita was the Class D representative, but Kushida tried to trick Chabashira Sensei by claiming that Horikita sent her to turn in the papers. Horikita was actually the one who sent Kushida.

However, Horikita was already aware of her intentions and made the decision to turn in the paperwork early. She warned them not to take the other students’ test papers from the Class D children. Kushida came to realize that she had been duped while working on the newspaper.

After the tests, Kushida has a confrontation with Ryuen about the situation, but she quickly concludes that he has already betrayed her. After being confronted by Horikita, she reveals that while she will not seek to expel her from the academy, she will make it a priority for Kiyotaka to be expelled from the school.

Towards the end, we saw Ryuen send a photo of Kei to Ayanakoji along with a text message. The photo showed who Ryuen’s next victim would be. Kiyotaka is unfazed by his maneuver, so he decides to take his challenge head-on and show him who the superior fighter is.
