Courtney Stodden hits Bethenny Frankel after punching Kardashian

Courtney Stodden had a hard time digesting Bethenna Frankel’s recent comments about the Kardashians presenting “distorted” beauty ideals, as they could not help but reflect on how their “New York Real Housewives” graduate treated them in an interview in 2013.

“How are you @bethennyfrankel for girls / women when you made me feel so ridiculed on your show when I was 19?” Stodden wrote, now 28, Friday on Instagram. “I canceled all my other New York interviews and immediately returned to LA with tears in my eyes.”

Stodden has since talked to Page Six about this post and their experiences with Frankel, saying, “Honestly, I don’t feel great about reliving such a traumatic moment again, but I wanted to highlight the double standards that live on.

“I would never invite a guest to my TV show just to mock him – especially a 19-year-old,” they continued. “The way you treat someone stays with them. Words matter. I was a very sensitive girl who screamed for love inside while she clawed me with her claws and let her guests point and laugh at me.

At the time, the model had been in a troubled marriage for three years with Doug Hutchison, someone they have since described as “the predator.”

Frankel lunged at his visitor’s look, which from a teenager’s perspective just didn’t seem profound.

“Earlier you said you wanted to go back to being 19 … You come looking like you could be at a strip club,” Frankel said. “You look very promiscuous and you look like your next move should make a porn movie… if that’s how you advertise yourself. ”

Stodden believes the host’s comments were not only harmful but also hypocritical.

“When I was sitting there, she judged me by my hair and clothes when her dress was about the same length as mine,” they tell us. “Her makeup was done. Her hair was done. She decided to downplay someone else’s grades. For advertising your program. Potentially developing your career as a talk show host on TV.

“If she suggested that the Kardashians are not a role model for young women, would she say that her behavior is an example of a role model?” You ask if I’m healed… mostly yes. But listening / reading about her comments has definitely hit. This apparently opened up a wound that I had to look after for years. “

While Stodden is not seeking an apology, they would like “recognition and change” from Frankel “so that others don’t have to experience what I have so publicly.”

“What if the old woman talked to her child like this for some misogynistic reason? Women should always support women, ”they told us. “I’m sick of women who hurt other women over long distances. It’s not okay. Usually, when someone hurts someone else, it means that he hurts inside.

And for others who have been embarrassed for their appearance, Stodden has a simple message.

“You are enough. Your clothes do not define you or your worth – no matter what you are wearing!”

Bethenny replied to Stodden’s post via a direct Instagram message from Stodden sharing responses out of their 322 thou. followers.

The answer seems to imply that Frankel sees no problem with what she said, as she wrote: “unfortunately, the way we present ourselves is part of our branding and marketing. You certainly advertised differently than you are now, which seems to work for you.

She then wished Stodden luck, then added, “If anything I said upset you or stuck with you, I’m sorry. Perhaps our conversation contributed to the positive path you took. ”

However, Strodden believes the message is not accountable.

“She hunts women left and right,” they wrote the screenshot. “This conversation helped fuel the flames of the public and online feed about my personal life. No @bethennyfrankel, you do not deserve credit for my healing process! # mental health #gaslit #womensupportingwomen. “
