Los Angeles, Sep 11 (IANS) Hollywood star Daniel Radcliffe learned how to play the accordion from Weird Al Yankovic.
Starring in the biopic ‘Odd: The Al Yankovic Story’, the 33-year-old entertainer recounted how Yankovic showed him how to play an instrument in anticipation of the part, reports aceshowbiz.com.

“Really, the thing we talked about the most was the accordion,” Daniel told IndieWire at the Toronto International Film Festival debut of Eric Appel’s film.

“He gave me some samples of the accordion, which is something I can keep secret forever. I don’t want anything else.”

The entertainer does not expect the audience to take a “moral” from the film however trusts that the parody helps individuals tap into their own “weirdness.”

The ‘Harry Potter’ star said: “This is not a film that we expect you to plunk down and take a moral from the story.”

“However, assuming there is something to it, it is tied to a passion for your own uniqueness and as a strategy for finding your own satisfaction, Radcliffe continued. “(Yankovic) is really being himself and that’s what drives this great movie, as well as his incredible vocation.”

Evan Rachel Wood portrays pop icon Madonna in the film but there are questions the artist will answer in the film.

He said: “I don’t believe he will answer in any way. He has different things at the forefront of his thoughts and different activities.”

The 35-year-old entertainer proceeded: “I love Madonna. I have known him before. We were cordial. So I believe we are cool. I trust we are cool. On top of that, the encouraging news is that nothing in this movie actually happened, so I’m a little bit sheltered from that.”
