Dane Cook is “looking forward” to the children of his fiancée Kelsi Taylor
Just call him Daddy Dan.
Dane Cook is looking forward to becoming a father for the first time with his much younger fiancée, Kelsi Taylor.
“I can’t wait to be very honest with you,” 50-year-old stand-up comedian, said the People in an interview published on Friday. “I’m just excited about the possibility.”
Cook admitted that part of his childhood fever stems from observing 24-year-old Taylor dealing with her nieces and nephews.
“Her sister has just had a second baby and I love seeing her with the baby,” he said. “She loves it and I love children. When the time is right, we’ll check it out. “
The actor told the magazine that he was already wondering what kind of parent he wants to be.
“I could see myself as the kind of dad who loves to listen, loves to be there, loves to cooperate but still teaches you to set boundaries and just wants to get the best out of you,” he explained, adding that his dream would be to “implement this message” .
But realistically, Cook understands that children are unpredictable.
“You are on their journey,” he remarked, “and I’m sure you will.”
Cook said his goal was to mimic the way his late father raised him.
“I was talking to Kelsa about it one day, saying,” I like this mix of fun, joy and energy, but you still want these boundaries, “he said.
“My dad was good at disciplining when he wasn’t funny and I said,” I think that’s what I would do. ” My dad could be pointless, pointless, not talk, be a doer.
Cook proposed to Taylor in July after five years of dating, telling people next month he was eager to “start another chapter” [their] he lives together. “
