David Beckham praises the royal family after Queen Elizabeth’s funeral
Paying tribute to the crown.
David Beckham praised the “loving” royals after Queen Elizabeth II’s emotional funeral on Monday.
“Our Queen is at home … Today we said goodbye to Her Majesty the Queen. This week the world mourned the loss of an exceptional, inspiring and caring leader ”Beckham wrote on Instagram next to it is a photo of the deceased monarch’s coffin.
He continued: “People from all walks of life gathered in the thousands to show gratitude to our beloved Queen. Along with the amazing ceremony and tradition, we watched a loving family mourning their mother, grandmother and great-grandmother with dignity and devotion. “
The 47-year-old former athlete ended his heartfelt fast, saying that “the legacy of service and dedication to service will endure” and added, “Long live the king.”
Beckham previously noted on social media that how “devastated” he was after the death of Queen Elizabeth II on September 8 at the age of 96.
“I am really saddened by the death of Her Majesty. What an outpouring of love and respect that we have seen for the Platinum Jubilee for her service life. ” wrote in part on Instagram. “How devastated we all feel today, it shows what she has meant to the people of this country and around the world.”
On Friday, the legendary soccer player waited more than 12 hours in line to say goodbye to the late Queen who ruled for more than 70 years at Westminster Hall. He tried to cheer up the people around him when viewers say he was buying donuts for people.
As he reached the queen’s coffin, he was seen wiping away his tears before bowing his head.
Beckham was able to stay under the radar for the first few hours, but fans began recognizing the star and asking for photos as the sun rose – which he apparently refused until he had “Has paid my respects to Her Majesty.”
“I was so lucky to have a few moments in my life to be around Her Majesty”, Beckham said ITV News as he waited in line. “A sad day, but it is a day when we remember the amazing legacy she left behind.”
A lot of people praised Beckham on social media for choosing to wait in line instead of using celebrity perks to get ahead.

The famous athlete has repeatedly met the Queen and was even appointed Beckham OBE, the Knight’s Order, by the late ruler for his services to British football in 2003.
