Deb and Jesse on “Love Island USA” on “awkward” issues of intimacy

Deb Chubb and Jesse Bray had a series of ups and downs at the Love Island USA villa – but the biggest hurdle they overcame together was the “awkward” intimacy issues.

“We’ve always been physically attracted to, but I think it’s a little awkward,” says Bray Page Six only in a joint interview with his girlfriend. – At least I am. I’m a bit awkward.

Chubb readily admits that she is also “awkward” – “especially with cameras nearby,” she says, admitting that her physical relationship with Bray has been broadcast to countless viewers.

During the six-week term on the reality show Peacock, OG Islanders finally gave up all embarrassment and began to engage in more PDAs.

“I think we overcame the fact that we had all the cameras and microphones,” says Bray. “We don’t like being in public, just making out or seeing everyone in our company knowing what we do, how we do it, and what we look like when we do it. We just got over it.

The handsome courier, who memorably lost the kissing challenge early in the season, tells Page Six that he and Chubb “prospered in the second half of the season” after the blonde beauty helped him make better use of his mouth.

“She taught me how to kiss a lot. We’ve really been working on it. Deb was very patient with me because I didn’t know how to kiss and she really showed me a lot, ”she says, adding that his good friend Jared Hassim also helped when the guys left the villa to meet new girls at the Casa. Amor.

“He said,” I can see the problem. Here you need to put your hand behind her and the other on her waist. The approach was wrong, so Jared really helped me. ”Bray marvels at Hassim’s guidance. “Regards Jared!”

Chubb is also grateful to Hassim – and is moved that her man has pushed his pride aside for her benefit. “The fact that he asked and Jared helped him is so sweet,” he squirts. “It’s nice.”

Now the lovebirds – they both have Texas roots but live in southern California – are ready to fly outside of Love Island USA.

“We learned a lot about ourselves in the process. The falls helped us build further. We put ourselves there. I think the hardest part was just learning to be sensitive, ”says Bray.

“Through every experience we shared, we just got closer to each other. And we’ve just overcome so many obstacles.

In addition to the mystery of the couple’s kisses, Bray and Chubb broke away from the temptation of Casa Amor – she briefly reunited with a new boyfriend while Bray chose to remain loyal – and claims from bombing Mackenzie Dipman that Bray prevented Chubb from being her “fun”, authentic self.

“It was hard to hear. And then I thought, “Maybe she’s right … She has that outside perspective,” says Chubb of his one-on-one conversation with Dipman. “But I just had to listen to how I felt and do what I knew was best for me. And that’s what I did. “

Bray, for his part, was unaware that Dipman had discouraged Chubb from dating him.

“Well, Mackenzie always told me she loved our relationship.” So I had no idea about it. This is the first time I hear the news. So I don’t know what to think about it, says Page Six.

“Of course I’m glad he has an opinion on our relationship and sees things we need to work on. I don’t know what was said but I think everything is happening for a reason and I think it just made us stronger. ”

Chubb and Bray finished “Love Island USA” in third place, while Zeta Morrison and Timmy Pandolfi won and Sydney Paight and Isaiah Campbell came in second.
