Demi Lovato looks great for summer.

The pop star took to Instagram Story on Thursday to show off her belly – and visible weight loss – in a new selfie in the mirror.

Lovato, who was also makeup-free, let the photo speak for itself by refusing to write on it, although her Sublime T-shirt could also serve as a hidden message.

The “Dancing with the Devil” singer, who is recovering from an eating disorder, confessed last year that she “accidentally” lost weight after ditching her “diet culture”.

“I accidentally lost weight,” she said wrote on Instagram showing off a pair of pants that were too big around her waist. “I no longer count calories, I don’t over-exercise, I don’t restrict or cleanse my body, and most of all, I don’t live a diet culture. . . and I actually lost weight.

“It’s a different experience. But I feel full not of food but of divine wisdom and cosmic guidance. Peace, tranquility, joy and love,” she added.

Fans flooded the comments with compliments, prompting Lovato to tell them to stop as it was “harmful”.

“I don’t know who needs to hear this, but complimenting someone for losing weight can be just as damaging as complimenting someone for gaining weight in regards to talking to someone recovering from an eating disorder,” Lovato, 30, wrote at the time. .

“If you don’t know someone’s food history, don’t comment on the body,” she continued. “Because even if your intention is pure, that person may wake up at 2am thinking about that statement.”

The ‘Camp Rock’ star explained that the comments make her wonder what people thought of her pre-weight loss physique.

“The moral of the story: I am more than a shell for my soul, which is my body, and I struggle daily to remember that, so please don’t remind me that’s all people sometimes see in me,” She she wrote.
