Designer Rachel Antonoff’s star-studded 15th anniversary party: pop stars, noodle towers and more
“There are more celebrities here than at the Met Gala,” we overheard one of the guests joke Rachel Antonoffparty celebrating the 15th anniversary of her fashion brand, which was packed to the brim with her famous friends and supporters.
But despite drawing a crowd that included Dylan O’Brien, Busy Philipps, Lauren Graham, BJ Novak, Ziwe Fumudoh and the designer’s brother, Jack Antonoff, to the Noodle Pudding restaurant in Brooklyn Heights on Monday night, the atmosphere at this May soiree was funky and not formally.
According to Antonoff’s clothes, which have always been synonymous with color and charm – think about it down jackets with a pasta pattern AND cupcake inspired cardigans — the dress code required “eccentric elegance.” AND Jen Monroe from Bad Taste he fantastically brought some of the designer’s signature culinary prints to life, sculpting towers of spaghetti and meatballs, literally “house salads” and cheese houses.
Comedians (Mike Birbiglia, Jerrod Carmichael) interspersed with Broadway stars (Beanie Feldstein, Ali Stroker). At one point, we spotted Sabrina Carpenter and Barry Keoghan pushing through the crowd, holding hands. Before guests could pick up their souvenir t-shirts and go home, proud dad Rick Antonoff took the stage with singer-songwriter Klaud for their performance, which included a cover of the Beatles’ “I Want to Hold Your Hand.” (What, you thought there was only one musician in the family?)
