Did John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John date? Relationship explored as Grease co-star shares heartfelt tribute

After learning of Olivia Newton-passing, John’s American actor John Travolta gave a moving homage to his former co-star.

On August 8, the 68-year-old actor posted an old photo of the actress to his Instagram account along with a kind remark.

“Olivia, you have greatly improved all of our lives. Your influence was tremendous. I adore you a lot. When we are all back together, we will see each other again. From the first second I laid eyes on you, you were all mine. Your John and your Danny!”

John is most known for his participation in the 1978 musical film Grease, in which he played Danny Zuko and the Australian actress, Sandy Olsson. Travolta signed off his moving internet homage by utilizing the name of his Grease character.

The two have a very strong friendship and have been by one other through thick and thin. They have also performed duets such as Summer Nights and You’re the One That I Want.

A few fans have even questioned whether they were romantically engaged because of their on- and off-screen connection.

Many people are interested in John Travolta and Olivia Newton-relationship John’s because of their on-screen chemistry and camaraderie. Both critically and commercially, Grease was a huge hit, and the two continued to be very active in one another’s life even after the movie.

On the Mamma Mia No Filter podcast in 2018, Olivia finally addressed the relationship rumors and explained why the two were unable to date while Grease was being filmed. Olivia was 28 at the time, while John was 23.

They also got back together in December 2019 at the Meet n’ Grease sing-along in Florida, where they appeared as their well-known roles.

John Travolta discussed their friendship and the closeness they have as a result of the success of the movie in an interview with People Magazine for the movie’s 40th anniversary.
