California Truckee Several people are said to have encouraged Dog the Bounty Hunter to intervene as the hunt for 16-year-old Kiely Rodni appears to have intensified. The media personality, whose real name is Duane Chapman, is reportedly not interested in taking on Rodni’s case at this time.
Dog’s agents reportedly told TMZ that “some of the tipsters provide blurry leads — something he’s used over the years to finally find solid leads — and he’s also gotten a barrage of letters from people who.” just want him to join the missing person recovery effort because of his track record.”
But the problem is that when the 69-year-old showed up at Brian Laundrie’s sister’s house to offer help during Petito’s murder case and footage of that event surfaced online, the 69-year-old was accused of interfering with the police investigation.
Dog officials also told TMZ that he would only join Rodni’s search efforts if requested by the person’s family or police, or if “21 days have passed since the person was declared missing.” The purpose of 21 days is… Dog claims missing persons cases tend to go dormant. In addition, the former bail bondsman wants reliable information about Rodni’s whereabouts.
The 16-year-old girl reportedly went to a high school graduation at Prosser Family Campground before disappearing in the early hours of August 6. The girl is wanted by the Nevada County Sheriff’s Office and the Placer County Sheriff’s Office.
The Placer County Sheriff’s Office posted the following on its Facebook page on August 17:
“Today is day 12 of the investigation for 16-year-old Kiely Rodni. Kiely and her vehicle are still missing, but the Placer County Sheriff’s Office and Nevada County Sheriff’s Office are still using many resources to search for them.
The Placer County Sheriff’s Office oversees a task force of detectives from local, state, and federal agencies. They continue to follow leads and question suspects to locate Kiely. The figures given above reflect the results of the search and rescue operations conducted on August 16.
Lindsey Rodni-Nieman, Rodni’s mother, also previously asked that people reach out and help find her daughter. “We’re excited for other teens to step up and offer the final details of the story, which no one can piece together,” the woman said.
