Dragon House: Rhaenyra and Damon are finally together

A new power couple has appeared in Westeros.

That’s right, during the October 2 episode Dragon House, Renir (Emma d’Arcy) and Demon (Matt Smith) stopped fighting their feelings for each other and finally got together It wasn’t just an illicit affair, however, as Rhaenyra and Damon were married at the end of the episode.

So how exactly did the princess and her uncle — yes, you read that right — end up in this mess? The episode opened with the Targaryens and Velarions reuniting in Driftmark for Lady Laena’s funeral (Nanna Blondell), Damon’s late wife.

As tensions remained high between Queen Alicent (Olivia Cooke) and Reynira, the heir apparent, admitted to her uncle that questions about the legitimacy of her children made her vulnerable. She confirmed that her marriage to Laenor Velarion (John McMillan) was just for show.

“We were trying to conceive a baby,” she shared with Damon. “We performed our duty as best we could, but to no avail. There was no joy in it. I found it elsewhere.’

The duo continued to make love on the beach, confirming that Rhaenyra and Damon can’t stay away from each other. Their blissful moment in the sand was interrupted when Rhaenyra’s younger brother Emond (Leo Ashton) took custody of Vhagar, the dragon of the late Laena. This caused a violent fight between the young prince and his cousins, resulting in Emond losing an eye.
