As a lawsuit between Elon Musk and Twitter Heads to Court in Delaware On Oct. 17, a Tesla executive subpoenaed Twitter’s former CEO, according to court documents obtained by E! News.
The subpoena comes as Musk makes efforts to walk away from the $44 billion deal he struck to acquire Twitter in April. According to preliminary court documents obtained by E! News, Twitter claims that Musk cited an alleged breach of information sharing, inaccurate data reporting and the firing of some employees as reasons for pulling out of the deal.
According to the documents, Twitter said Musk’s accusations were baseless, suggesting instead that Musk was trying to back out of the deal because of damage to his purchase.
In July, Musk announced that he was no longer interested in buying the social media platform. At that time, his lawyer Mike Ringlersent letter Twitter’s board, which said Twitter “refused to provide” information on how many bot accounts are using the website.
