The Barrackpore City Police, where Titagarh comes from, was informed and the higher authorities immediately reached the spot.
Bomb splinters were recovered from the rooftop.
The police are yet to determine whether the impact was from a bomb that was loaded onto the rooftop or on the other hand if someone jumped a dangerous bomb from outside.
“Fortunately, the explosion occurred on the top of the school building and thus no one was hurt. If the explosion had occurred elsewhere within the school premises, there would have been huge losses,” said a Barrackpore City official. Police.
In the meantime, political mud-slinging has begun between the Trinamool Congress’s decision and the BJP’s opposition to the phase.
“Uncleaned bombs and unapproved weapons are the main modern areas that are developing in West Bengal. A reign of fear has been laid across the state by the party’s decision,” said BJP Lok Sabha member Memento Chatterjee.
The local MP from Barrackpore Lok Sabha polling public, Arjun Singh, who eventually joined the Trinamool Congress from the BJP, said that the BJP pioneers are not missing a single opportunity to defame the state and the state government.
“However, I am securing the incident as there may have been a significant setback. I will request the new chief of Barrackpore City Police, Ajay Kumar Thakur to face the real thing, identify those behind this blast and fix their discipline ,” Singh said.
